Agnosia: Pseudo-simulation
The work takes agnosia, or failures of recognition, in both machines and humans as its starting point. Using technologies such as large language models, 3D scanning, and polarized light, it constructs a simulated agnosia device that continuously produces malfunction-like images and perceptual illusions. These include textual hallucinations produced by language models, misreadings of three-dimensional space by image scanning, and human visual illusions. Through these failures, the work explores the relationship between computer simulation, machine hallucination, and human hallucination.
失认证伪模拟
作品围绕着机器和人类的“失认”行为展开，利用大语言模型、3D扫描和偏振光等技术原理，构造了一个不断生产故障感幻觉图景的模拟失认症装置，其中包括了语言模型对于文字的幻觉，图像扫描对于三维世界的误解、以及人类视觉的幻觉等，并以此探讨计算机模拟、机器幻觉和人类幻觉之间的关系。
